Beltway Bears hopes you'll come out and join us on Thursday, April 25 for two exciting events. First, we'll gather at 7pm at Annie's Paramount Steak House on 17th Street in Dupont Circle to support Food and Friends during the annual Dining out for Life fundraiser. Annie's donates 100% of its sales to Food and Friends that night. Then, immediately following dinner, we'll head to the DC Eagle for our Spring Bar Night. $2 draft beers ($1 for paid Beltway Bears members) and spiked gummy bears will be sold. Not a paid member? No worries! We'll sign you up on the spot for only $20 for your annual dues. Dues help support two annual events, our summer BBQ and our Holiday Party in December. We hope to see you Thursday!! |

Beltway Bears are ramping up for our third annual weekend in Rehoboth Beach, DE weekend of Friday, May 17 thru Sunday May 19. Once again, the Sand Castle Hotel will be our host hotel. Our rate this year per night is $128.52. To take advantage of this great deal, be sure to mention Beltway Bears when calling to make your reservation. The Sand Castle is located at 123 Second Street right at the corner of Rehoboth Avenue and is just three short blocks to the Boardwalk. Their number is 1-800-372-2112. Don't have a car? Can't drive? There should be enough of us going to assure you can hitch a ride! And most of us don’t charge TOO much for gas. LOL |

Join us on Super Bowl Sunday, February 3 at 5pm until after the game, for our third annual Bears, Bowls and Balls chili cook-off at the DC Eagle. For only $7, you get a bowl for unlimited chili, hotdogs, fixins, corn bread and dessert and your first draft beer. Subsequent beers are $2 each and jello shots will be sold $2 each or (3) for $5. If you'd like to bring some chili to contribute, please let us know so that we can plan accordingly. Thank you and hope to see you Super Bowl Sunday!! |

 If you're a bear or a friend of a bear, you have quite the weekend coming up. Traditionally, Mid-Atlantic Leather (MAL) weekend is the 3rd weekend of January. However, given that this year that also falls on Inaurguration Weekend, event planners moved MAL to the 2nd weekend of January. Much is happening that is bear-centric. Friday night, January 11 you will have two bear happy hours to chose from (or make both): DC Bear Crue at Town or Bear Nonsense at the Rock & Roll Hotel. Then on Saturday, January 12th, 495 Bears and Bear Nonsense are partnering for a fundraiser for Brother, Help Thyself. Their T Dance and Cigar Party begins at 3pm and lasts until 9pm at the Rock & Roll Hotel on H Street NE. NO COVER CHARGE at this event. Immediately following is 495 Bears' monthly Bears Can Dance party at the Green Lantern until closing. If you're still on your feet Saturday night, and we hope you are, the friendly DJs of BLOWOFF (Bob Mould and Rich Morel) are holding their MAL edition dance party starting at 11:30 pm at the 9:30 Club. Admission is $12.00 and a portion of the door receipts will be generously donated to Brother, Help Thyself. |

A very special "Stuff the Horny Piggy" to benefit Harry & Ron: Beltway Bears are collecting money and items to help out our Bear brothers pay for Harry's dialysis while he awaits a new kidney. If you can spare a buck or two, you could really make a difference for them! WHAT TO BRING: 1. A dollar or two. 2.Canned goods 3.Gift Cards you got for Christmas but will never use 4. "a good pair of casual pants, 50 x 32, and maybe a belt, too". 5. Size 4X big button down shirt with short sleeves. Anything you can do to help will be greatly appreciated. Beltway Bears' bar night at the DC Eagle is coming up on Wednesday, November 7 right after our monthly meeting from 9pm until close. We'll be selling $2 draft beers and jello shots for $2 or (3) for $5. Proceeds benefit our annual Share-A-Bear drive for Children's Hospital. And, who knows, you just might meet the sexiest bear you've ever dreamed of! |

Your always friendly and impossibly sexy friends at Beltway Bears will be once again working the crowd at Bëar Crüe's Bear Happy Hour at Town Danceboutique this coming Friday, October 26 from 6:00 pm until roughly 9:00 pm. We'll be raising money and collecting new teddy bears to benefit our annual Share-A-Bear project. In December after 8 tour stops, we'll deliver our collected bears and $ donations to Children's National Medical Center. Won't you come out and help the sick kids at Children's and maybe rub a sexy bear's chest while doing so? Thanks to Charger and the great crew at Bëar Crüe! We hope to see you Friday!! |
